Opening Day

After a forty-five minute struggle with Modern Technology, I *think* I've created a Blog. At least five people have suggested this to me (some more than once,) possibly hoping to stem the flow of lengthy e-mails describing Our Merrie Adventures. Now I can post to The Blog, add my pictures, and only those with a burning desire to hear how my asparagus bed is doing, what birds are nesting in our yard, and which quilt I'm working on, need visit.

Opening Day-- always an exciting time, unless you were at the mercy of The Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland climate. Remember the year it got Snowed Out? It's May; this blog is bound to fare better.

  3. MOL, this is great. I mean that generously, like patricia/Sophie does, and selfishly. The portrait is astonishing. Can't wait to show my daughter.

    Cheers, too!

  4. Good for you Elaine! It will be nice to have some updates on how and what you are doing. Your self portrait is amazing! Makes me want to get back to quilting, but, alas, no time right now.

  5. Well, it's good to see you have finally taken the plunge. You have a spot for you to post your more extended musings.

I enjoyed your insights when you were posting at Rex's place and enjoy them even more at Wordplay where you are appreciated. Congratulations, Elaine.

  6. As an art lover - especially fiber arts - I also would like to tell you how much I loved your self-portrait quilt, and I would enjoy seeing more of your work. So please post more quilting pix.

I'm also a bird lover and an unwilling-but-cooperating gardener.

  7. Ooh, now you're in for it. There's no time sink like a blog time sink. But, welcome to the hamster wheel!

  8. Elaine, welcome to the bloggers club. As Micheal said, it is a great time sink.

But I think you will be like Nancy Sinatra: "We got married in a fever, hotter than a pepper sprout." I think you wull find it time well spent. If there ever was a person cut out for a blog, it is you.
