A Misty-Moisty Morning

The lake at dawn......heavy fog obscured the far side of the lake and even the nearby docks.  Except for the bickering herons, all was peace and quiet.  Fish were feeding (though not interested in my casts.)

Here (about two hours later,) the fog has lifted somewhat, unveiling the hills that were hidden in the previous shot.
A great white heron is often seen in this spot, amid the lily pads.
This 16-inch large-mouth bass is actually too large to keep (no longer so flavorful) but the DHubby had a great time bringing it in on 8-lb. line.  We kept a smaller bass, which will be dinner tonight.
