Lovely Lake

At long last we are closing in on the repairs and renovations at the lake house.  There are a couple of trailer-loads to haul to the landfill, and the shed will have to be sorted out (and shelving put in,) but the place is once again livable.

New wainscot and flooring

Last steps in reflooring the 'wine-making room.'

 In reality, when we are at the lake together, we spend as little time as possible inside.  

There are birds to watch, fish to catch, and the swing to sit in while the sun goes down.









The green herons have gone for the season, and hummingbirds are filling up at the feeder before migrating.  Skeins of Canada geese and cormorants cross overhead.  Great blue and great white herons sail past--majestic as long as they do not squawk.  Peaceful scenes!
