This is a Springerle cookie!

It takes two or three days to make these, but they're so pretty that it's worth it.  I was taking a platter of these to the quilt guild's 'English Tea,' but it was cancelled thanks to the weather.

  

 

We had some snow, some ice, some wintry mix, some rain, and by and large this was a non-event, but the guild officers took a wise 'better safe than sorry' stance.  The cookies are in the freezer...for now :0)
